Uptools3 is the latest version --- dated Februari 1997 --- of a set of programs for viewing, editing, and transforming UNIPEN files. UNIPEN is the de facto standard for on-line handwriting data. Uptools3 comprises the following programs:

upview	A X-Windows based program for visualizing any UNIPEN file.
upread	A program for transforming or extracting data from any UNIPEN file.
uni2animgif	A program for transforming data from any UNIPEN file into animated gifs.
unipen2eps	A program for transforming data from any UNIPEN file into encapsulated postscript.
upworks	A program using Tcl/Tk and X-Windows for browsing through UNIPEN files, and editing them!.
upread2	this tool was announced at ICDAR'97, and will be shipped in the next release. The next release will become available before September '97.
