The version for the 7^thIWFHR stresses the core aspect of our research field: transforming handwriting into codes which are more legible by machine and man. A handwriting recognition process is suggested, i.e., our work, and the process has just reached the handwritten letter k.

After trying a large number of logos, we think that this version illustrates our scientific and engineering efforts, and may yield a sense of continuity in the series of IWFHR conferences.
